Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy — Treatment Protocol | Well+Med Longevity Clinic
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Oxygen at depth.
Healing at scale.

A staged HBOT protocol designed to gradually adapt the body to elevated pressure and higher oxygen concentration, stimulate regenerative processes and support long-term wellbeing — following four progressive phases tailored to individual response.

Four phases, one continuous path

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at Well+Med follows a four-stage protocol. Each phase builds on the previous one — frequency and session duration progress as tolerance and therapeutic response develop.

Pressure range
up to 1.3–1.5 ATA
Total cycle duration
10–13 weeks
Session length
60–90 minutes
Between cycles
2–3 week break
Why staged progression? Increasing pressure and oxygen exposure gradually allows the body to adapt safely, assess individual tolerance and maximise regenerative benefit while minimising any risk of barotrauma or oxidative stress.
The Four Stages

Adaptation · Therapy · Intensification · Maintenance

Each stage has a defined duration, frequency, pressure and session length. Goals shift from tolerance-building in Stage 1 to peak regeneration in Stage 3 and long-term support in Stage 4.

Stage 1 · Adaptation

2–3 weeks
Phase Parameter Value
Adaptation
Frequency
Low-frequency entry phase to assess tolerance
1–2 / week
Adaptation
Pressure
Mild hyperbaric pressure, gentle on the body
up to 1.3–1.5 ATA
Adaptation
Session duration
Including compression and decompression
60 min
Goals of this stage
  • Help the body adapt to increased pressure and higher oxygen concentration
  • Assess individual tolerance and physiological response

Stage 2 · Basic Therapeutic Phase

4–6 weeks
Phase Parameter Value
Basic
Frequency
Regular therapeutic rhythm
2–3 / week
Basic
Pressure
Stable working pressure for therapeutic effect
up to 1.3–1.5 ATA
Basic
Session duration
Slightly extended to deepen effect
60–75 min
Goals of this stage
  • Regular stimulation of regenerative processes
  • Support for the nervous and immune systems
  • Improvement of overall physical performance

Stage 3 · Intensification Phase

4 weeks (or as needed)
Phase Parameter Value
Intensive
Frequency
High-frequency regeneration window
3–4 / week
Intensive
Pressure
Same working range, applied more often
up to 1.3–1.5 ATA
Intensive
Session duration
Longest sessions of the protocol
70–90 min
Goals of this stage
  • Maximise regenerative effects of hyperbaric oxygen
  • Support during periods of increased physical or mental strain — stress, intense training, recovery from injury or illness
STAGE 4 · MAINTENANCE
Long-term protocol
Maintenance & Recovery
Sustained, lower-frequency sessions to preserve the benefits achieved during the intensive phase. A suggested rest period of 2–3 weeks is observed between hyperbaric treatment cycles to allow full physiological recovery.
1–2 / week
2–3 week break between cycles
Individualised progression. Stage duration, frequency and session length are always tailored to clinical assessment, individual response and therapeutic objectives. Prior medical consultation is required before starting HBOT.
